This project was inspired by Salvador Dali's 12 paintings for fashion brand Scabal in the 1970s. Kent State students, in collaboration with Peg's Foundation Gallery and Scabal, designed for the future on fashion with these paintings as inspiration. The goal for me was to create for the future of menswear while drawing on the queer history of dandy fashion, exploring clashing patterns, new silhouettes, and deconstructing hypermasculine fashion ideas.

This look includes 3-pieces: the renovated button down jockstrap, the deconstructed dress pant, and the pink satin tie. It was inspired by Salvador Dali's personal "dandy style" and the speculations about his sexuality, both from the art he created and the personal stories about him.
